Mr. Pullin holds a degree in Medicine from Universidade Estadual de Londrina, having specialized in General Surgery at Hospital Universitário in Londrina, Paraná. He also holds an MBA in Health Insurance Management from Fundação São Camilo. He began as a member physician at the Unimed Londrina medical cooperative in 1980. He was elected and served as the Director of Unimed Londrina between 89 and 98 and Market and Technology Director for Unimed in the State of Paraná - State Federation of the Medical Cooperatives in Paraná (1998 to 2006). He served as Presiding Director of Unimed - Paraná from 2006 to March 2014. He was vice-president of Unimed Brasil between 2013 and 2017. In March 2017, he was elected to become the president of the Confederation.
