Helaine Capucho holds a Pharmacy degree from Universidade Federal de Ouro Preto.
Master's, Doctorate and MBA degree in Marketing from USP Ribeirão Preto.
She is an Associate Professor of the Pharmacy Department in the Health Sciences Department of Universidade de Brasília,where she instituted the Quality Management and Value-Based Healthcare course.
She implemented the first Patient Safety Commission in Brazil, in 2007, and the Patient Safety program in 40 federal university hospitals, at EBSERH - Empresa Brasileira de Serviços Hospitalares. Shel also coordinated the implementation of the Ebserh Quality Seal.
Ms. Capucho leads the IHI Open School Chapter at Universidade de Brasília.
