Carlos Kerguelén

Medical Doctor and Surgeon at the Universidad del Norte (Barranquilla - Colombia), where he also carried out his specialization studies in Design and Evaluation of Health Projects. He completed his academic curriculum with a Master’s in Health Management Planning and Policy from the University of Leeds (England). In addition, he has attended the following courses:

• Patient Saffety Officer. Institute for Healthcare Improvement. Boston - USA

Dr. Kerguelen is recognized by ISQua Expert, awarded by the International Society of Quality in Health Care (ISQua)

He currently serves as vice director of Clinical Performance Metrics at the Santa Fe Foundation in Bogota, Colombia.

Professionally speaking, he has managed projects to support health sector organizations (national and international), represented by hospitals, clinics, multinational laboratories, government entities (at ministerial and regional levels), foundations, universities and multilateral organizations in management and quality improvement, patient safety and DRGs - Diagnosis Related Groups.

Additionaly, Carlos teaches at graduation programs in Health Management and Quality. And he is also active as a lecturer in national and international events on Quality and Patient Safety Issues.
