He is actually serving as a member of the Board of Directors of the European Society of Anesthesiology and he is the Chairman of the Acute Critical Care Group at the European Respiratory Society. He is author or co-author of over 100 medical and scientific peer review papers and book chapters and has lectured in more than 600 national and international meetings on ventilatory management during the perioperative period and on the pathophysiology and treatments of acute respiratory failure.
