Sandra Cortés currently serves as Director of Nursing at Fundação Santa Fé de Bogotá. In her role she leads the creation and implementation of strategies that transform the care experience of patients and promotes initiatives that allow for influencing the positioning of the nursing profession through knowledge, leadership and exemplary professional practice. Sandra has vast experience in the direct care of critical patients, as well as in the management of operational and administrative services related to hospitalization and surgery, where she was responsible for guaranteeing the compliance with quality, safety and service standards established for the care of patients. She has served as a professor at the Faculdade de Medicina da Universidad de los Andes. She also served as the sub-director of Nursing at Hospital Universitário at Fundação Santa Fé de Bogotá, where she contributed to the standardization of care processes, integration and management of administrative-care projects, leading projects that offer support to safe, timely and humanized nursing practices for patients and families. Sandra is a nurse trained at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana and holds a Master's degree in Healthcare Administration from Universidad del Rosario.
