Daniel Peres is a Senior Project Manager for IHI's Latin America and Europe regions, as well as a member of the IHI Strategic Partners team. A third culture individual and native Portuguese and Spanish speaker, Mr. Peres has experience living in Peru, Venezuela, Colombia, Mexico, Portugal and the United States. He resides in Boston since 2010, and is largely responsible for managing IHI’s quality improvement projects and professional development programs in Portuguese-speaking countries, as well as supporting projects and programs in Spanish-speaking countries. Notably, Mr. Peres currently manages the scale up of the Parto Adequado collaborative in Brazil, which aims to significantly reduce the high rates of unnecessary C-sections nationwide, as well as the Saude em Nossas Mãos collaborative in Brazil, which aims to halve hospital-acquired infections at scale. He is a certified facilitator through the Interaction Institute for Social Change, where he developed competencies to facilitate strategic thinking processes, collaborative problem solving, and agreement building. Academically, Mr. Peres majored in Business Administration at Northeastern University (NEU), completing a five-year bachelor’s degree including two internships, as well as developing a strong interest in Social Entrepreneurship through his involvement with NEU’s Social Enterprise Institute (SEI). His career at IHI has led him to develop a strong interest in data science and he recently started a master’s program in data analytics at his alma matter NEU.
